Student Resources
The digital resources are additional materials that are available for students and instructors that support the program.
As was the case for these resources in Wiley Plus, they are organized by Student Resources.
Chapter Resources
In this program, the resources are organized by chapter and topics within the chapters.
Selecting a Chapter will expand and display the sub-topics for the selected chapter.
Selecting an expanded Chapter will hide the topics for that chapter.
Note:
You can select anywhere on the row with the Chapter or Topics to expand/collapse the accordion.
Topic Resources
Nested underneath a Chapter are topics or other groupings of resources to support the topic.
Selecting the 3.3 Providing the Class Implementation shows the available resources for the topic.
Selecting the Resource Name will open or download the selected resource.
Resources that can be downloaded are marked with (Download) in their description.
Resources labeled Java Source Code will open up the source code file in your browser.
Resources labeled as a Document will open in a PDF viewer.
Document Resources
As mentioned above some resources will open up in a PDF Viewer, such as this Worked Example below:
Non-Topic Based Resources
Not all groupings of resources are topic specific.
Practice Exercises is an example of chapter specific resources.
Programming Projects is another example of chapter specific resources.
Practice Exercises
These are the additional supports for the Practice Exercises from the Student Edition.
Selecting Practice Exercises displays resources, just as with selecting a topic.
The identification of these practice exercises is E (for exercise) followed by the chapter number and then a problem number.
As with topic related resources (Download) will appear next to the resource type. When selected these will download to your computer and be placed in your download directory.
Note:
The problem numbers relate to the problem in the book for the Practice Exercises. Not all practice exercises have supporting digital resources which is why the numbering of problems is not always continuous.
Programming Projects
These are the additional supports for the Programming Projects from the Student Edition.
Selecting Programming Projects will open up the supporting resources just like Practice Exercises.
The identification of these programming projects is P followed by the chapter number and then a programming project number.
Instructor Resources
There are additional resources that are available only for the instructor.
Select Instructor Resources to view instructor supporting resources. They are organized and operate just like the Student Resources.
Online Slides
These slides build just as if one had created a PowerPoint slide deck.
Note:
You cannot modify the Online Slides.
Classroom Slides (PowerPoint)
If you want to customize the slides used in your classroom, you can download the Classroom Slides PowerPoint (Download).
These contain the same content as the Online Slides, but you can modify to meet your needs.
Solutions
Both the Practice Exercises and Programming Projects have Solution source code available for instructors.
Note:
As with the Practice Exercises and Programming Projects available for students, not all exercises/projects have solution files to view or download.
