Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are two ways that MyQuest skills practice is activated for students.

  • Insight Prescribed MyQuest

  • Teacher Activated MyQuest

Insight-Prescribed MyQuest

If you are using Insight with MyQuest you can opt to create MyQuest skills practice based on each student’s Insight results. When assigning an Insight assessment make sure that Generate Insight Prescribed Quest is checked.

Teacher-Activated MyQuest

You may activate skills for practice at any grade level for the entire class, groups, or individual students.

  2. Make selections from the drop-down menus and click Go.

  3. You will see a table with information. In the first column is your students. Standards are listed across the top. Use the sliders to the right and at the bottom of the table to navigate through students and standards. Standards are organized by domain or strand, use the Filter by Skill drop-down menu to find more standards.

  4. Use the key at the top of the table to guide your activating.

If the Rx next to a skill is in red, then that skill has been activated via an Insight Prescribed Quest.

Allow Practice After Mastery defaults as checked. This means that students may continue to practice the skill after they have mastered it. If you do not want students to continue practice after the skill is mastered, uncheck the box so that it is not highlighted in gray or blue.

Limit Questions Per Skill by selecting the appropriate box. This will determine the number of questions students will answer on the skill before moving to the next skill. The default for each skill will set to infinity unless you change it when activating skills.

    1. ACTIVATE ALL SKILLS FOR ALL STUDENTS: To activate all the skills in the domain or strand for all students, place a check in the yellow column header under Students.

Always make selections for Allow Practice After Mastery and Questions Per Skill in each of the above scenarios.
