Checking Your Internet Connection Speed
Updated over a week ago

If you are noticing some sluggishness accessing Perfection Next®, it is recommended that you check your Internet connection speed. Internet connections speeds can vary greatly depending on a number of factors including locations in a building if connected to a wireless network, or total number of people trying to access the Internet connection.

You can check your Internet speed at one of the following sites:

Below is what a speed test from Fast.com for reference:

Fast.com speed test while it is running. It should take about 15-20 seconds to complete the test.

When the speed test is completed you will see a number in large font with either Mbps or Gbps following it. The higher the number the better, but if you are seeing a speed between 40 Mbps and 100 Mbps you have a good Internet connection.

Gbps second is a higher speed than Mbps, so if results are shown in Gbps you also have sufficient bandwidth.

Selecting the Show more info button will display some additional information about latency as well as upload and download speeds.

If your bandwidth is displaying less than 40 Mbps and you are on a wireless network try moving to a spot closer to your wireless router or if possible connect with a cable then re-running a speed test.

If you have sufficient Internet speed, then you might want to try to Clear Your Cached and Cookies to see if that resolves your sluggishness.

If you continue to see sluggishness, then take a screenshot of your speed test and send in a request to our support team at support@perfectionlearning.com.
