If your school uses Google Classroom with Perfection Next, teachers and students sign in with their school Google account. There's no separate Perfection Next username or password to remember.
Before You Start:
Your school or district must have Google Classroom connected to Perfection Next. Use the same Google account you use for Google Classroom at school - a personal Gmail account won't work. Administrators setting up the connection can follow Integrating with Google Classroom.
Signing In
Sign In with Google
Go to the Perfection Next sign-in page at www.perfectionnext.com.
Select Sign in with Google, below the Log In and Use a code buttons. You don't need to enter a username or password on this page.
On the Google screen, choose your school Google account. If it isn't listed, select Use another account and sign in with your school email and password.
If Google asks you to confirm access, review the request and continue.
You'll go straight to Perfection Next. Teachers land on the Class Dashboard. Students land on their To Do List.
Note:
The Google screen may show the name Edlink. Edlink is the service that connects your school's Google Classroom to Perfection Next.
What Teachers See
Teachers start on the Class Dashboard, with their Google Classroom classes and the products assigned to each class. Use the Class menu to switch between classes.
Whether your Perfection Next assignments and scores also appear in Google Classroom depends on how your district set up the integration. Check with your school administrator.
Need Help?
Visit the Support Center article Creating an Assignment in Perfection Next for help assigning work to your class.
What Students See
Students start on their To Do List, which shows overdue, current and upcoming assignments from all of their classes. Students can open their books from My Bookshelf and see their results in My Progress.
Your Account Information
Your name and email come from your school's Google Classroom, so they can't be changed in Perfection Next. If either one is wrong, contact your school's technology team.
You also don't have a Perfection Next password - your Google account is your sign-in. You may still see a Password tab (teachers) or Change Password tab (students) under Account, but the fields and Save button are grayed out, with the note "Your password is managed by your school's sign-in." To change your password, change your Google account password, or ask your school's technology team for help.
Troubleshooting
Google Asks Me to Verify It's Me
Google sometimes asks for a verification code or other check before it lets you sign in, for example when you sign in from a new device or location. This check comes from your school's Google account settings, not from Perfection Next. Follow Google's instructions, or contact your school's technology team if you can't complete the check.
I Forgot My Password
Your password is your school Google account password, so Perfection Learning Support can't reset it. Use Google's Forgot password? option on the Google sign-in screen, or contact your school's technology team.
I Signed In with the Wrong Google Account
Only your school Google account is connected to Perfection Next. If you chose a personal account by mistake, go back to the Perfection Next sign-in page, select Sign in with Google again, then choose your school account or select Use another account.
I See the Wrong View
Google Classroom doesn't tell Perfection Next who is a teacher and who is a student - that comes from how your school set up the connection. If a student lands on the teacher view, or a teacher lands on the student view, contact your school's technology team or Perfection Learning Support.
I See a Sign-In Error Page
You may see a sign-in error page from Edlink or Perfection Next (for example, "SSO Login Error - Invalid sign-in state"). Wait a few minutes, then go back to the Perfection Next sign-in page and try again. If the error keeps happening, contact Perfection Learning Support and include the time you tried to sign in and the error message on the page.
I Don't See My Class or Product
Classes and students come from your school's Google Classroom, and new changes can take time to appear in Perfection Next. If a class or product is still missing the next day, contact your school administrator or Perfection Learning Support.
